After a long and bloody conflict, the Time Lords imprisoned Krikkit within an envelope of Slow Time, a prison that could be opened only with the Wicket Gate key, a device that resembles - to human eyes, at least - an oversized set of cricket stumps….
From Earth to Gallifrey, from Bethselamin to Devalin, from Krikkit to Mareeve II to the far edge of infinity, the Doctor and Romana are tugged into a pan-galactic conga with fate as they rush to stop the Krikkitmen gaining all five pieces of the key. If they fail, the entire cosmos faces a fiery retribution that will leave nothing but ashes….

Update:
This book was based on “Hitchhiker’s guide to the universe #3″ with a Doctor Who twist.
Story line starts off Very slowly but picks up after a few chapters.
IMHO, it’s much better than the Hitchhiker’s guide version though there are parts that still make you fast forward it.
Too bad the book wasn’t read by Tom Baker and Lalla Ward.

This is based on an unproduced Dr Who movie story by Douglas Adams. He later applied some of the ideas to HGTTG, much in the same way he used elements of the unfinished Dr Who serial Shada in the first Dirk Gently book.
