Series is a fun Battletech knock off, and normally I’m all for it. But, this Author has some issues with timelines and group behavior that break suspension of disbelief in this book. I see that he’s trying keep tensions high, but the baddies showing up instantly, and learning the truth from underworld contacts in a matter of minutes is hard to by. People lie, for most people it’s a reflex, for criminals it’s a way of life. They wouldn’t spill the beans unless they were getting something big for it, and had a reasonable expectation of keeping their prize.
