This is an awesome book.
It is not sci-fi, however, unless you consider concepts like marvel’s mutants to be sci-fi. Probably more of a modern fantasy fit, although only the eponimous element of the plot (the power) is fantasious. The story itself is an amazing thriller and, even though I came into this book not expecting much at all, I was thoroughly satisfied by the end.
cannot recommend enough.
