Star Wars isn’t literature - it’s film (at least the bulk of it - and what is discussed here). If you don’t think that Star Wars has had a huge cultural impact on the film and entertainment industry as a whole, you are as oblivious as your comments suggest. In any case - what are you complaining about??? If you aren’t a fan move on…

The film is never as good as the book.
There are very many ‘official’ Star Wars books that tell the whole story. And they tell it much better than films can - The films are visual spectaculars because that’s what ‘we’ want. The books are much more about ‘mind f$%ks’, and the way in which people get corrupted.
Until I found a huge collection of books here I thought that ‘Jedi Knight’ as a real religion is just a joke really. Now I know the philosophy behind Star Wars I have changed my mind and recognise that there really is a legitimate case. It is just as valid as a true religion as Christianity, Islam, Judaism, whatever. Religion does not need Gods.
If the worlds religions and politicians really understood the philosophical implications of ‘Star Wars’ the world really would be a better place. We would start to actually take responsibility for our actions.
For a ‘Western Entertainment’ to have such profound truth lying within it is unbelievable/awe inspiring. It is the birth of a ‘better religion’.
