for those wanting to convert m4b all you need to do is open vlc player, look at the top left of the player in drop down menu, click Media ->convert> in the next window all you have to do is add the file you want to convert to mp3, just select the m4b file you want to convert, then underneath is a drop down menu where it says convert, select it and select mp3 as the output. then press convert thats all you have to do.
