Big problem in this book is the lack of any characters. Even the Lich is more of a malevolent force instead of a person with plans and ambitions.
Feels more like a EU4 campaign than a story.

It has 2 reviews on Goodreads and 6 on Amazon. Did you even listen to it? Which character was your favorite? Was it the bad wizard, the Bard, or the third-born son?
The characters are pretty light, it’s more like a list of historical events. Not terrible, but definitely on the dry side
