I listened to it right after midnight when it got released. Wasnt bad, Susan is kinda stupid to be sure. Not to most annoying character is this release tho. But it was enjoyable when I listened to it the other day, so I recommend it

This is evidence of Big Finish needlessly milking supporting characters.
Susan was never meant to be the main hero of Doctor Who. She was a supporting character of little importance. Her last tv appearance was in 1964 and I cant recall any subsequent Doctor mentioning her. Indeed, the whole concept of the Doctor’s granddaughter was forgotten about.

Media historian James Chapman has written that the way Susan was written made her limited, because “she was required to fill the role of the ’screamer’ and often had little to do beyond looking pretty and frightened”. Ford was similarly displeased with her character, sometimes finding her “pathetic”and frustrating because she was not allowed to develop.In addition, Ford found the series too repetitive. Susan became the first companion to leave the programme, after just 51 episodes. Ford felt that Susan was allowed to develop more in the Big Finish audio dramas.

Wdym she’s been completely forgotten about? She’s constantly name dropped and referenced in the show. Like, back when Moffat was showrunner, she was referenced like at least once or twice a season.
