This is the Peter Kenny narration of Iain M. Banks’ Excession. Got to be one of my favourite Culture novels, the banter between the Ships is worth the read alone. Sci Fi as it should be.

i love this one. the other version is ok, i ended up kind of liking it. they voice he uses for the aliens is so funny, just perfect.. but i am looking forward to listening to this version. good to have the same narration through a series.

isn’t it just dreadful that we are never going to get a new culture novel? I’m still just gutted. such a wonderful writer.
can anyone out there recommend any new authors who can stand up in comparison to them?

Aye still gutted Mr Banks Sublimed so early. Hope more writers carry on the Culture series, such a rich source of ideas to explore.

Dear everyone who likes the banks audio books. I am a big fan of the audio books by banks that were done by the other narrator, but i don’t know who it was. If anyone can point me in the right direction in particular: Use of weapons, consider phleabas and the player of games by the other narrator…I am eternality grateful!!!
