I don’t call it “Boxing Day”, but the bloody cold day after Christmas that the US seems to be taking off as the holiday in lieu of Sunday!

I’m not a real big River Song fan. I think she is way overused.
That being said, since it involves past Doctors, I am all for listening to these.

I found the romantic bits here with Colin Baker, of all people, to be wonderful. I simply loved his immediate attraction to River Song. Too bad he forgot all about kissing her and everything. It was simply so much fun to have Colin Baker be loved for his horrible coat!
I didn’t like River Song much in Doom Coalition. I know they are doing a big thing leading up to the Time War, but I’ve not loved Doom Coalition. The Eleven seems like a cheap copy of the Master and is not engaging. And, while I like Liv well enough, I find Helen quite boring.
That said…I have really liked the River Song solo plays a lot. I loved the romantic comedy bit with Colin Baker. I mean, of all the Doctors, he is probably the most “neutered”, and yet it was utterly believably that the pompous clown would fall so quickly for someone like River. Too bad he doesn’t get to remember his kiss with her. The only thing that is awful is the theme music! It’s terrible theme music for River Song, and she deserves much better.
When are Benny and River going to meet? I am one of the fans who doesn’t think Moffat pattered River after Benny, and think they are quite different women. I just love strong female characters so damn much, and River and Benny both deliver. It made me so made that they took Benny’s theme music out of the new adventures and put in Doctor Who, because of the three new adventure sets, the Doctor was hardly a part.
Let’s hope Big Finish keeps writing plays like these ones. I am really impressed by this one and by UNIT as well!

Or all three.. at a party somewhere..
Throw in the 5th Doctor and/or 8th Doctor for the charm, looks and innocence..
It appeals to my sense of humour :)

I loved Excelis and the play between the 5th Doctor and Iris. I loved the play between Iris and Benny. Iris would be great for River to meet!
