My Big Finish torrent contribution to the community for the month comes in the form of a all new First Doctor adventure.
Following the format of the other Early Adventures/Companion Chronicles, the story is told by surviving companions in their respective roles. William Russell takes over for the voice of the First Doctor.

The TARDIS materialises on board a still and eerie spaceship. When a squad of soldiers land, they realise they’ve found themselves in the middle of a war zone. With one of their crew trapped by the enemy, the Doctor and his friends find themselves locked in a desperate race for survival. Vast warships manoeuvre around each other as both sides try to out-think their opponents, flying into ever more dangerous areas of space.
The stakes could not be higher. But as ever in war, the lines between good and evil are hard to define. Will anyone survive to claim the moral high ground?

The Early Doctor adventures aren’t my favorite range that Big Finish has out there. I think they need to take more risks with stories. Like, I see no reason that the Classic Doctors, New Monsters would not work out with the 1st and 2nd Doctors.
I’m more into the next 8th Doctor release coming up this month! Hope somebody shares that as soon as it comes out!

risks did you not listen to this audio?

and yes the new sontarans are going to appear later in this series so please just stop talking you just make yourself look foolish

“justsayin” - Actually the Sontarans appearing later in the series aren’t the ones from the reboot. And that story probably won’t be canon if it’s supposed to be the doctor’s FIRST meeting with Sontarans, because we know from the Infinity Doctors that he met them before he left Gallifrey

wait you are saying the Infinity Doctor is Canon but this wouldn’t be? The book are pretty much not considered canon at this point unless they have been adapted the audios are canon as they are being referenced in the show and vice versa…. and smythers can take his reviews away i agree with justsayin’

Smythers is giving us free Doctor Who, he can post anything he wants! We’re getting free stories from him, as far as I’m concerned he can post reviews, bad fanfiction, or longwinded conspiracy theories- whatever he does, he deserves a thank you!
Everyone critisizing him is showing a sense of entitlement, if you don’t like his reviews just skim past them and don’t download his audios!!

Is all very simple. If people don’t like what smythers1977 has to say, then don’t read his posts.
Or better still, stop creating like spoiled brats and go buy the audios instead.That way you can listen to what you want without having other people’s opinions bother you.
Though it is rather disconcerting that a person’s words about an audiobook range can generate the level of hate that has occurred here. All those personal insults over fiction? Really? I’d hate to see these people argue over politics or religion lol
